The Virtual Concert
After receiving this amazing, mind-blowing message in the year 2000, to "create a self-esteem day" I had to conquer my self-doubts and boost my confidence. I questioned 'why me', 'what did this mean', and 'who do I think I am I could do this', then it was one line from a poem that nudged me forward.
Written by Marianne Williamson, the poem "Our Greatest Fear" was made famous by Nelson Mandela. The line which prompted me to start the self-esteem day was "Your playing small does not serve the world". That's when I realized - my playing small does not benefit me either. Shortly afterwards, I created the event and marketed it annually, for about five years.
SelfDay - International Self Esteem Day
An awareness day promoting the importance of self esteem as a key to your success.
People were encouraged to do 5 Activities to Boost their Self-esteem, boost another self-esteem, and one community self-esteem boost. A website (no longer functioning) provided extra information, tips, poems, eBooks and free courses about self-esteem with lists of tips for people in different stages and genders. Women, children, teenagers and more.
My self-esteem definition as per the television interview “An inner belief in yourself that who you are and what you are creating in your life for yourself is who you want to be”.

In the movie script is a scene of 'receiving' this mind-blowing message from God, plus a shortened version of this television interview.
Due to family, health, work commitments, I could no longer oversee this event. SelfDay will now be revived as an annual online event, aimed at promoting the significance of self-esteem and confidence as fundamental elements of personal success, commencing sometime after the movie.
During the years I was running the SelfDay event I was invited and took up the role of President of the International Council of Self-Esteem. This had been created by Rob Reasoner and which Jack Canfield (Chicken Soup of The Soul books plus others) was an inaugural member. For the same reasons as above, I could not longer carry out this role, and with no-one willing to take it over, I was forced with the difficult position to close the council.
Product Placement
"The Success Attitude Movie" encompasses a wide range of products intended to serve as a source of income to support SelfDay and The Charity initiatives.
This presents an opportunity for products from New Zealand and other regions featured in the movie scenes to be made available on the online store and the app.
These products will be prominently showcased in the movie scenes, offering a diverse range from motivational items to beauty, homeware, and other products tailored for women.
They will be accessible for purchase online and through "pop-up" stores and affiliates worldwide, with marketing efforts conducted via the iPhone app and website. (There has already been expressed interest in supplying the movie products to China.)
The charity aspect will serve as a revenue source for self-esteem courses and training programs globally, as well as provide support to women in need worldwide.
VIRTUAL CHARITY CONCERT
This idea I received "Elvis Live Show", has sparked the virtual concert event.
Not an original Elvis fan, I had joined a friend at the Parkes Festival in NSW, Australia. Originating in 1993, and now one of the top three festivals in Australia, and one which Priscilla and Graceland support, this features five days of Elvis music. Afterwards I realised I had been smiling for the duration of the event. So - I am now a convert, especially his Gospel music which I play every Sunday morning. I don't attend church, yet I am spiritual.
In 2022, after receiving the message "Elvis Live Show," my online search led me to finding a virtual concert commemorating his 40th anniversary starting in a few weeks. I had been wondering about royalties and now I realized why I had been guided there. Elvis, a seeker himself, a man who believed in God, who searched for his answers, a man who fought for equality and freedom, touching people through his music, had also wondered about his journey. In a documentary I saw these words, written in his own handwriting, and maybe it was his answer "God Loves me most, when I sing".
Now - I understand as well. God, The Universe loves me most when I work on this project. When I've stopped, they instigate something so I return to the computer and writing. There's been a lot of me having faith and trusting, as I continue to walk into the unknown...The questions I had asked myself, and listed at the top of this page, had me searching for my understanding about 'receiving messages from God' and creating this huge movie project. My playing small, feeling like a failure if I didn't step up and always knowing this project was much bigger than me...spurred my journey forward. So ,Elvis Live Show, it makes sense! Forty years later, with the release of the Elvis movie, his fanbase has only grown and it provides another possible target market for the Success Attitude virtual concert at his home.
In the movie, two Elvis songs, "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art," are featured. Neither will be sing-alongs.
Years earlier, it was pointed out that significant royalties would be attached to the songs from the movie. I believe these royalties can be recovered through the movie, the release of LPs, and other avenues for the movie music. However, now we have another opportunity, our virtual concert. Or is this fundraising for the charity to support the spread about self-esteem to women worldwide? No-doubt the answer will be forthcoming.
At the live virtual concert, we invite live performances from the musicians OR show performances OR have recorded songs. Because it is the home of Elvis, it would be 'great' to invite musicians to perform their favorite Elvis song and I have Elvis impersonators to act as hosts for the event.
Similar to the phone apps and sing-alongs from the movie, this virtual concert technology is already operational; we just need to tap into it. I have initiated contact with Graceland and have the production companies for the songs.
