"The Success Attitude" interactive movie introduces an exciting, brand-new concept to the market by integrating two widely used global technological components into a movie: an interactive phone app and sing-alongs, inspired by platforms like YouTube, DVDs, and other online avenues.

The movie script is based on Janice's memoir, "The Success Attitude – Haunting Messages Guiding Us" (Book Overview: Victim to Victorious Journey - Video on the left).

Janice collaborated with Viki King, an International Script Consultant and Author from Malibu, USA, to draft the script based on her memoirs.

Originally spanning 100 pages, the script has evolved into a 3-part series tailored for the streaming market following the onset of Covid.

The script is officially registered in New Zealand.

Set against the backdrop of the picturesque sea and scenic locations in Snells Beach and Kawau Bay, located an hour north of Auckland in New Zealand, this true story unfolds.

PHONE APP

In Part 1 & 2, the phone app makes appearances in two classroom and two café scenes, where various quizzes related to personal development are discussed. Each scene explores a different aspect of self-awareness and personal growth that is beneficial for women.

During these movie scenes, the phone app displays the quiz on the screen for the students and friends to interact with. Then, still in the scenes, they are directed to the website for their quiz answers.

For audience members who have downloaded the app, they can also follow the on-screen instructions and interact with the app on their phones and are shown where to find their quiz answers after the movie has finished.

Part 3 has includes the 'grief' cycle and musical video scenes.

SING-A-LONGS

In Part 1 & 2, there are nine scenes, with approximately ten minutes of sing-alongs. Part 3 has musical video scenes from YouTube.

Throughout the movie, the music plays on radios in cars or houses, as well as on television. The actress sings and dances along, with the words to the choruses of popular 1990s songs scrolling along the bottom of the screen.

Guided by a fashion conscious comic character, the audience is invited to participate by:

  • Clicking fingers

  • Toe tapping

  • Humming

  • Singing.

The primary purpose of the music is to provide enjoyment, stimulating endorphins and a sense of well-being.

Additional videos demonstrating this process are available on the Video page.

Given the extensive music royalties involved in this movie/series project, new ideas have been researched to mitigate these costs.

Choruses are only our sing-along tunes therefore one such idea involves hosting a virtual concert featuring full-length versions of our sing-along tunes and more, from an iconic venue in the USA, our largest market. This presents two additional opportunities for the project and fundraising for the charity.

Firstly, the virtual concert will be made available to our audience approximately one year after the movie's release.

Secondly, a recording of the concert, like those by Westlife and Andre Rieu, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce. This could be screened in movie theatres to reach the remainder of the audience who did not attend the virtual concert.

OTHER MODALITIES

The emergence of Covid has profoundly impacted the world, consequently altering the initial context of this project.

Despite this shift, "The Success Attitude," originally conceived as a movie for theatres, then extended to a 3-part series for streaming, could potentially evolve into a musical concert feature film for theatrical release.

Furthermore, there's potential to create a television documentary centered around the phone app quizzes featured in the series. Segments of the movie could be incorporated, addressing questions from our global followers, with responses provided by Janice and other personal development experts.
